Wine Review: A clean and bright German Riesling from Ernie Loosen that is pale straw colored and has aromas of Bartlett pear, tangerine, honeydew, and vanilla yogurt. On the palate it is tangy and dry, medium bodied, and balanced with plus acidity and nice structure provided by stony minerality. There are flavors of crisp green apple, white peach, and pineapple along with notes of lime and tangerine. It closes with a nice long citrusy finish. Pair with a salad of sliced pear and field greens with candied pecans, craisins and blue cheese. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: This medium-bodied dry Riesling has lovely flavors of peach and stone, with a hint of apricot. Nicely balanced acidity gives it a juicy grip. A welcome guest at any dinner table! It is an excellent match for classic continental-style cooking, especially with dishes that feature freshwater fish, chicken, and pork.
