Wine Review: This white gold colored Gewurztraminer is a very good value wine. It opens with a very fragrant lychee and peach like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, lively, a bit spritzy and fresh. The flavor profile is a ripe pear with notes of lychee and pineapple with a hint of minerality, mango, and drop of honey. The finish is dry and very refreshing. This wine’s acidity settles down a bit with some air. Swirl it and enjoy with roasted Cornish game hens with garlic and rosemary. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2012 vintage was spectacular in the Pfalz region; one of the finest in years, with excellent ripeness and perfect weather during the harvest. This wine has a very pretty, classic Gewurztraminer aroma of rose petals and exotic fruits, with a spicy edge. It is zippy, fresh, crisp and juicy, with a superb acid to sugar balance. Simply put, it is delicious and satisfying.
