Wine Review: The easy to drink Prosecco from Northeastern Italy is a deep salmon color with sparse fine bubbles. A reserved bouquet includes notes of sourdough bread, sweet cherries, kumquat, and strawberries. On the palate, it is quite frothy, medium bodied, slightly off dry, with crisp acidity and a slightly round mouthfeel. There are flavors of red cherry, strawberry, and sourdough bread with notes of peach and wet stone There is a touch of tannins in the mineral-driven moderate length finish. Good for spritz cocktails or paired with soft fragrant cheeses. – Mark
