Wine Review: If you are looking for a versatile everyday red, give this red blend from Lake County a try. It is slightly opaque and dark ruby colored. It opens with a very mild blueberry bouquet with a hint of black cherry. I found it to be medium bodied, balanced, smooth and quite easy to drink. The flavor profile is a mild black cherry with hints of plum, blueberry, and faint oak. The finish is dry and its mild tannins fade away nicely. This wine is not overly complex, but it is very food friendly. I would pair this wine with pizza or lasagna. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The fruit for this wine was sourced from several growing areas within Lake County which resulted in a multi-layered with good balance and a long, lush finish. Aged for 14 months in French and American oak, this wine has a bright garnet color. Aromas of black cherry, blackberry and oaky vanilla lead to flavors of ripe cherry, dark berries and spice.
