Wine Review: This dark red colored Barbera from Vietti opens with a fragrant blueberry and Morello cherry crumb cake bouquet with hints of cigar box, wet stone, and sage. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and very smooth. The flavor profile is an oak influenced blueberry and flinty minerality blend with hints of Earl grey tea, black pepper and plum. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild dusty tannins show very nice length. The Panel suggested pairing this Barbera with the Rail Trail’s farmers' market veggie flatbread. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Ruby purple color with intense aromas of ripe red and black cherries. With refreshing acidity, rich tannins, full body, the single vineyard Scarrone has finesse, excellent balance, great complexity, integration and a long lingering finish. Pair with hearty stews and roasted red meats or sharp cheese.
