Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Argentina is impressive. It opens with an inviting red currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well-balanced, smooth and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty red currant, blueberry and mild strawberry licorice blend with notes of wonderfully integrated mineralogy and oak. I also detected a hint of cinnamon towards the end. The finish is dry and its well-managed moderate tannins show very good length. This wine is food friendly and went perfectly with Theresa’s meatloaf. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep red and intense in color with aromas of black pepper and paprika coming from the Cabernet Sauvignon, which is the soul of this blend. The fruity notes of Malbec and Petite Verdot combine to form the backbone of this round and velvety vintage of Enzo. Notes of smoke and chocolate also come forward from the time spent in oak barrels. It has ample mouthfeel and a harmony of mixed tannins that provide structure and volume.
