Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon VGS Chateau Potelle opens with a black currant and oak bouquet with hints of dark chocolate and pencil lead. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and bright for a Cab. The flavor profile is a black currant, black tea and oak blend with notes of black cherry and dark chocolate. We also detected some hints of stony minerality and black plum. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins stick around for quite some time. We would pair this Cab with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
