Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from VGS is Excellent. It opens with a light oak and banana cream bouquet with hints of oak, butter, pineapple, and pear. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well-balanced, silky and delicate. This flavor profile is a delicious gentle pineapple and vanilla blend with notes of light oak and poached pear. We also detected hints of honey and integrated mild minerality. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. The Panel prefer to drink this very well-made Chard on its own. With food we would pair it with Ken’s poached pear salad or with a cashew encrusted halibut. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This Chardonnay displays intense tropical and ripe stone fruit aromas: lychee, white nectarine and peach. In the mouth, the fruit profile evolves from banana and pineapple to spice such as ginger and toasty coconut. This is the perfect wine to enjoy with some sunshine or with your favorite Thai food.
