Wine Review: This Syrah from Mount Veeder is terrific and was very well liked by all those that tried it. It is opaque and very dark purple colored. It opens with a fragrant blueberry and mild vanilla oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is delicious blueberry with notes of black cherry and oak. I also detected a hint black licorice. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger and last for quite a while. This Very Good Syrah is food friendly and would pair nicely with braised short ribs. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2014 Syrah is, in a word, Huge! It has a nice and presentweight with a super long finish. This wine will aged well. Pair with venison, buffalo of grilled lamb t-bones.
