Wine Review: This dark red colored Zinfandel from V. Sattui opens with a fruitcake and red currant bouquet with hints of cranberry and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a juicy spiced red plum and red raspberry blend with notes of toasted coconut and dark chocolate. I also detected hints of red currant and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and moderate dusty tannins stick around for quite some time. I would pair this Zin with a shrimp and chorizo chowder. Enjoy - Ken
