Wine Review: This light strawberry colored Gamay from California opens with an orange peel and strawberry bouquet with hints of lime and red cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a tangerine and stony minerality blend with notes of watermelon. I also detected hints of ripe honeydew melon. The finish is a tad off dry and its moderate dusty tannins linger nicely. I would serve this Gamay chilled on a hot day with a charcuterie board of cheddar cheese and cured meats. Enjoy – Ken
