Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Franc from V. Sattui opens with a black raspberry and black licorice nips bouquet with hints of pencil shavings and nutmeg. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, and a little mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a pleasant blend of black plum and cedar with notes of kirsch and cinnamon. We also detected hints of blueberry, cocoa, stony minerality, and nutmeg. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins linger for quite some time. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cabernet Franc with a grilled hanger steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
