Wine Review: This deep purple colored Petite Sirah from V. Sattui opens with a blueberry and black raspberry bouquet with hints of licorice, cinnamon, and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth and fresh for a Petite Sirah. The flavor profile is a tasty blackberry and black licorice blend with notes of menthol, oak, and crushed stone dust. We also detected hints of black cherry, black pepper, ripe black plum, and black olive. The finish is dry, and its polished tannins build up and stick around for a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this Petite Sirah with a ribeye steak, braised short ribs or with a chocolate mousse torte cake. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Our Petite Sirah displays an opaque color, characteristic of the fresh blackberry and blueberry aromas that leap out of the glass. A bold wine on the palate with intense, sweet plum notes that are beautifully balanced with sweet oak and followed by firm tannins.
