Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Merlot opens with black cherry and vanilla bouquet with hints of mocha, graphite, and blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, mouthwatering, and savory. The flavor profile is black cherry and mocha blend with notes of stony minerality, black currant, and oolong tea. I also detected hints of oak and black plum. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins show very nice length. This Merlot would pair well with Theresa's home-made meatloaf. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Our 2021 Napa Valley Merlot displays an inky color with aromas that are reminiscent of dried thyme, violet and ripe berries. On the palate this wine is richly flavored with juicy blackberry and black currant that are brought to life by a refreshing acidity. The finish is smooth, and round with lingering notes of tea leaf and forest berries that are graciously followed by soft tannins.
