Wine Review: This ruby colored GSM from V. Sattui opens with a black cherry and blueberry bouquet with hints of cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, very smooth and savory. The flavor profile is a crushed stone and spiced black plum blend with notes of anise and cedar. I also detected hints of black pepper, black olive, and blackberry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins stick around for an extended period of time. This red blend would pair well with a slow cooked beef brisket. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Our Entanglement is a delightful blend featuring Grenache, Syrah and Mourvédre, and a touch of Petite Sirah. The 2020 Entanglement has a very intense dark color, foretelling to its deep, complex black fruit aromas that are complemented further by notes of cocoa and toasted sweet oak. Each sip presents itself with a soft mouthfeel, pleasantly balanced with lasting flavors of bright cherry and sweet dried herbs followed by smooth tannins.
