Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from V. Sattui opens with a fragrant and inviting black currant, blackberry, and cedar bouquet with hints of blueberry, wet stone, and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is black cherry, black plum, and crushed stone blend with notes of cedar and purple jellybean. We also detected hints of black currant and oak. The finish is dry and its well-managed, fine tannins linger of quite some time. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cabernet Sauvignon with steak Diane or a Great Hill blue cheeseburger. Enjoy – KWGTP
