Wine Review: This dark purple colored blend from the Napa Valley is a bit of a fruit bomb. It opens with a mild black currant and blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, juicy and concentrated. The flavor profile is blackberry, black cherry, black olive and oak mix. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors fade away nicely with no noticeable tannins. I would have this wine with a bacon burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This pre-prohibition blend of old-vine reds is purple-hued and opaque in color, with enchanting aromas of espresso, black tea and a hint of violets and blueberry. The wine is big in stature, with black cherry, dark chocolate, mocha, and a delightful earthy note. It offers a mouthful of powerful black fruit flavors and aromas, with supple tannins that are round on the palate and balanced by subtle, oaky spice and a lingering finish.
