Wine Review: This pitch black colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley opens with blackberry bouquet with a hint of black licorice and a touch of menthol. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, rich and savory. The flavor profile is a really tasty black currant with notes of nicely integrated old oak. I also detected a hint of black cherry, black olive and black licorice. The finish is dry and its big tannins build up and stick around for quite some time. This big boy Cab need some fat in the near term. I would decant it and serve it with a thick cut cowboy ribeye if you choose not to cellar it. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This full-bodied, dark berried, mouth-filling Cabernet is sourced from the Preston Vineyard located in the Rutherford Appellation. The region is known for its gravelly soils which produce rich, opulent red wines with fine-grained tannins and incredible complexity
