Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Utopia opens with a faint light strawberry bouquet. We also detected hints of wild cherry and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, soft and delicate. The flavor profile is a gentle strawberry and fine mineral blend with notes of red cherry. We also detected hints of tea and a touch of vanilla. The finish is dry and its well-managed refined tannins drift away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this Pinot with a filet mignon. Winemaker Notes: With its maximum clonal diversity, the 2017 “Estate” Pinot Noir exhibits ripe cherry and berry fruit mingled with pretty rose petal and spice aromas and flavors. Polished and elegantly textured with vibrant acidity and a juicy mid-palate and flavors that soar on a long finish accented by hints of toasty oak.
