Wine Review: This opaque and midnight purple colored Petite Sirah from Two Angels is very good. It opens with faint dark chocolate and cedar bouquet with hints of Dr. Pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced, smooth, and round. The flavor profile is a dark chocolate, cherry-cola and Oolong tea blend with notes of stewed black plum and cedar. We also detected some hints of stony minerality. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins and acidity are nicely prolonged. This Petite Sirah would pair well with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken and Mike
Winemaker Notes: Two Angels Petite Sirah is very dark purple in color and boasts savory aromas of ripe dark berries, cherries, plum, rich toasty notes, with a hint of roast game. The flavors mimic the aromas on this well balanced Petite Sirah. It is well structured, with a silkiness that belies the weight and big body of this wine. The finish is long and luxurious. Serve at room temperature with robust dishes, including beef, venison, turkey, game birds and semisoft or hard cheeses.
