Wine Review: This deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Turnbull opens with a mild pipe tobacco and blackerry bouquet with hints of loam and boysenberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, seamless, rich, and dense. The flavor profile is concentrated blackberry and oak blend with notes of anise and black cherry. We also detected hints of cassis, clove, graphite, and mocha. The finish is dry, and its moderate dusty tannins and flavors show very nice length. The Tasting Panel would decant this wine, as aeration increases its intensity and expression. We then would pair this Cab with duck confit or with a slow roasted leg of lamb. Enjoy – KWGTP
