Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Turnbull opens with a red currant and craisin bouquet with hints of oak, nutmeg, and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and lush. The flavor profile is a red plum and cranberry blend with notes of oak and loam. We also detected hints of ginger, currant, oolong tea, and crushed stone. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and gentle polished tannins subtly fade away. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab with a Stuart's steak treats. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This wine perfectly captures the essence of the estates we own and farm in Napa Valley. It displays notes of Bing cherries, blackberries, and spicy red currants draw the nose to deeper tones of black figs, dark chocolate, cedar, and sage. The palate satisfies aromatic promises, as deftly balanced tannins highlight impressive acid lift, freshness, and tension, while boasting richness and roundness through the finish.
