Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Turnbull opens with a black currant and blackberry bouquet with hints of cigar box, spice, and black licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, super smooth, silky, and delicate. The flavor profile is black currant and fine stone dust blend with notes of black plum and baking spice. We also detected hints of oak, black tea, nutmeg, and boysenberry. The finish is dry and its fine-grained tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cabernet Sauvignon with a filet mignon. Enjoy - KWGTP
