Wine Review: This Cabernet Franc from Cape Cod is quite tasty. It is dark cherry colored and opens with a plum and cherry oak bouquet with a hint of black pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, soft, and east going. The flavor profile is a pleasant mild black cherry with hints of gentle raspberry, craisin, and light vanilla oak towards the end. The finish is dry, lingers and lands softly. Joe suggested pairing it with American Chop Suey/Goulash. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Cabernet Franc is the signature varietal of Truro Vineyards. Open vat fermentation, extended maceration and 18 months barrel aging all contribute to rich varietal fruit flavors and herbal tannins. This tasty dry red wine is best served with beef, pork and varied roasted dishes.
