Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Merlot based red blend from the Trump Winery is impressive. It opens with a fragrant black raspberry and dried strawberry bouquet with hints of red licorice and toasted oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and graceful. The flavor profile is a tasty stone dust and black plum blend with notes of black tea. I also detected some hints of black raspberry and black cherry in the mix. This offering really makes you think of a wine from Bordeaux. The finish is dry, and its well-managed refined tannins build-up and are nicely sustained. I would decant this red blend for a bit before pairing it with a porterhouse steak. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This signature Bordeaux-style blend is complex and round with well-structured tannins and developed flavors of blackberry, cassis, vanilla, and toasted oak.
