Wine Review: This is a good weeknight Chardonnay from the Central Coast. It’s a bright butter yellow color and opens with butter, pear, pineapple and lemon zest on the nose. It is rich and slightly creamy on the palate, with a medium-plus body and medium-plus acidity. There are flavors of pear and pineapple, along with some sweet oak, vanilla and grapefruit. The finish is buttery and dry. Have this versatile Chard with chicken pot pie or grilled halibut. – Mark (SIP Certified)
Winemaker Notes: Displaying aromas of ripe pear, pineapple, tangerine and caramel, this is a classic Chardonnay om the Edna Valley. It is rich and creamy and bursting with tropical fruit flavors. Refreshing acidity keeps the wine lively on the finish, a signature of Paragon Vineyard, it is balanced by the excellent accompaniment of vanilla bean and toasted oak.
