Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and ruby colored Agiorgitiko opens with a black cherry, black olive, and loam bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a mild black cherry, stony minerality and green tea blend with notes of black pepper and a hint of cedar. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins linger and last for quite a while. If you want to try something new with your grilled steak tips while tailgaiting this fall, give this Greek red a whirl. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Fteri (Translates as "fern", hence the label) This wine is dark red to purple color. Its fragrances of gooseberry and pomegranate. A supple and spicy flavor with velvety tannins yet leaving pleasant hints of spices and butter caramel. Although red, it is best enjoyed lightly chilled with grilled meats or coq au vin.
