Wine Review: This pitch-black colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a pleasant ripe black cherry and black currant bouquet with hints of blackberry, flint and saddle leather. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, well-balanced, smooth and silky. The flavor profile displays many layers that are exposed as time goes by. Those flavors are gentle black cherry and mild minerality, along with some notes of blackberry. We also detected hints of cool menthol, blueberry, cocoa and medium oak appearing as the wine evolves in the glass. The finish is dry and its subtle fine-grained tannins are nicely resolved at this point. This Cab is drinking very nicely right now. Enjoy it with a nice filet mignon in the near term. Enjoy – KWGTP
