Wine Review: This white gold colored "Reserve" level Riesling from Alsace is very good. It opens with a honey, light lemon, petrol and wax candle bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, zesty and round. The flavor profile is a rich and oily Asian pear and honey blend with notes of minerality and ginger. I also detected a hint of almond. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. This Riesling is food friendly and would pair well with pan-fried trout or pork chops. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Riesling is the most emblematic of Alsace grape varieties. Its delicate bouquet, the fine balance between its dry personality, its distinguished fruitiness and its natural vitality contribute to its exceptional richness. As the house style dictates, it is vinified dry. Riesling can be enjoyed throughout the meal. Especially with Alsace specialties, shellfish, quality fish, sushi/sashimi or with Asian dishes. Ageing potential is between 3 and 5 years.
