Wine Review: This white gold colored Pinot Gris from Alsace is very good. It opens with a fragrant ripe Bosc pear bouquet with a hint of ginger. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and off-dry. Like the nose, the flavor profile is a tasty mild ripe bosc pear and gentle ginger blend with nicely integrated mild minerality. The finish remains off-dry and shows very nice length. This delightful Pinot Gris was well received by all those that tried it. It would be a perfect match for grilled swordfish. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: One of the most remarkable of Alsace grape varieties which combines a full-bodied, heady but dry fruitiness. Its generous personality and its hint of smokiness make it the perfect accompaniment for a wide variety of gastronomic dishes. Pair with fish in sauce, white meats, veal sweetbreads or Asian cuisine.
