Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Rutherford opens with a black raspberry and lingonberry bouquet with hints of almond paste and cedar. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced and very smooth. The flavor profile is crushed stone and black currant blend with notes of menthol and green tea. We also detected hints of craisin, cedar, and all-spice. The finish is dry and its tannins stick around for a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab with grilled Colorado lamb chops or with a seared peppered ahi tuna. Enjoy – KWGTP
