Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Syrah from Trapiche opens with an acai berry and blueberry bouquet with hints of menthol, meat stick and iris. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, and fresh for a Syrah. The flavor profile is a mulberry, cedar, and acai berry blend with notes of black tea and black licorice. We also detected some hints of dried herbs and gravel. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins build-up and linger for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would enjoy this Syrah on its own by the fire pit. With food we would pair it with a ribeye steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Deep red in color with plumy aromas on the nose, this wine delivers floral notes and a touch of white pepper. In the mouth it is fresh, with sweet tannins that make this blend an elegant specimen.
