Wine Review: This collaboration between Tom Gore (grape farmer) and Simi Winery has been in the making for quite some time. Tom Gore's Chardonnay a very similar path of that of Simi, but with one major difference, it isn't quite as oak forward. The nose of this wine is made up apricot, honeysuckle, and coriander. The palate is robust with tropical fruits, but light in vanilla and caramel. The flavors have a staying power but most would wish that it would stay a bit longer. Enjoy - Nicolay
Winemaker Notes: Our Chardonnay has intense aromas of ripe apple and tropical fruit, with notes of toffee and toasty oak. The wine is smooth and richly textured. Its creamy undertones are balanced with just the right amount of acidity on the palate.
