Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay from Tom Eddy opens with a fragrant lemon and ginger like bouquet with a hint of herbs. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a pineapple and ginger blend with notes of minerality, tangerine and a hint of lemon. The finish is dry and quite refreshing for a Chard. I would pair this wine with angel hair with scallops in white wine butter. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2016 Parcel One Chardonnay is the debut wine for our new program that celebrates our unique location on the Napa-Sonoma Border. The wine was fermented and aged in neutral oak in order to showcase the varietal quality of the wine in its purest form. The bouquet is rife with quince, citrus and stone fruit coupled with a subtle kiss of gooseberry and white pear. On the palate, the wine is crisp and refreshing with clean, lip-smacking acidity that leads to a long finish with a hint of minerality. The wine’s acidity and clean finish makes this a great food wine to pair with some white fish or oysters on a warm spring day. Cheers!
