Wine Review: This bright red Pinot Noir from Tom Eddy opens with a fragrant and inviting pomegranate and red raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a red raspberry with notes of minerality, blueberry, espresso and pomegranate. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This Pinot is food friendly and would pair well with cherry amaretto chicken. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The bouquet of the 2011 Tom Eddy Manchester Pinot exudes a medley of fruity aromas including strawberry, cranberry and even a hint of zesty grapefruit. Subtle spice and vanilla marry with understated earthy notes that bring the complexity and depth that the Manchester Pinot is known for. The palate is soft and inviting with an elegantly long finish of cedar, ripe strawberry, spice and dried cherries. The cool climates of Manchester Ridge keep the acidity crisp and palate-cleansing, making this a fantastic wine to pair with a variety of foods.
