Wine Review: This is a very enjoyable bottle of Merlot, with a nose of leather, plum, some dark berry and a bit of smoke. It is a deep ruby color, dry with a medium body, mild acidity and quite smooth. Dark concentrated flavors of dark berry, dark plum and cranberry lead to a moderate finish with grippy tannins and dark fruit. Enjoy some smoked brisket with this one. - Mark

Winemaker Notes: Always one of our most beloved varieties, the 2015 Merlot is a showoff! Forest floor richness with brambly blueberry and violet aromas mingle with a whisper of smokiness in the nose. A plush texture with a dark fruit mid-palate, then a pop of pomegranate and cranberry fruit finish vibrantly. Pairs well with feasts of smoked or barbecued meats and fowl.
