Wine Review: This pale ruby colored Pinot Noir from the Durell Vineyard opens with a cherry and red plum bouquet with hints of black raspberry, loam, and clove. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is very nicely balanced, velvety, and classy. The flavor profile is a complex and delicious blend of red raspberry and red cherry pie with notes of cinnamon and red plum. We also discovered hints of white pepper, red currant, and some earthiness in the mix. The finish is dry and its flavors and tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would enjoy this Pinot on its own. With food, we would pair it with mushroom risotto or beef bourguignon. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2019 vintage is back in classic form, showcasing dark red fruits of Santa Rosa Plum and baked cherry, with layers of brown butter and a meatiness in the backbone. Culminating with notes of white pepper and baking spice, the silky complexity of this wine represents its illustrious birthplace.
