Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Three Sticks opens with a fragrant and inviting pomegranate and red plum bouquet with hints of cherry-cola and strawberry. On the palate, this wine is medium minus bodied, slightly acidic and delicate. The flavor profile is a strawberry and red raspberry blend with hints of pomegranate and spice. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Pinot would pair well Rachel Ray's pan fried red snapper with red wine sauce and rosemary potatoes. Enjoy - KWGTP.
Winemaker Notes: The Walala Vineyard sits at the crown of the Pacific Coast hills, surrounded by 20,000 acres of pine and redwood forest. The vines sit above the fog, allowing the fruit to consistently ripen in the cool, coastal breezes. The 2018 vintage is characterized by fresh violet and Honeybush on the nose, with raspberry tartlets and toasted Hibiscus leaf on the palate. This vintage epitomizes the elegance and beauty that is the hallmark of the Walala Vineyard.
