Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from Three Sticks opens with an extremely inviting strawberry jam bouquet with hints of pomegranate, red raspberry, sweet cedar and blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. It is also balanced, smooth and velvety with nice palate coverage. The flavor profile is a delicious red licorice and red plum blend with notes of blueberry and strawberry. We also detected hints of milk chocolate, oak and clove. The finish is dry and its delicate fine tannins and tingly acidity drift away along with its flavors. The Panel would prefer to drink this Pinot on its own. However, with food, they would pair it with seared tuna. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This wine is crafted from the absolute best fruit from our organically farmed Sonoma Mountain property, One Sky, which is then aged in hand-selected, toasted French oak barrels. The 2018 is pure luxury. Covered with rose petals, blackberries, and a perfect blend of vanilla, cinnamon, and cocoa nib at the finish. We are swept away, year after year, with this special bottling. We’ve sequestered this beautiful wine in the cellar for six additional months to let her rest and develop as she deserves!
