Wine Review: This cloudy strawberry colored Pinot would be a perfect wine for holidays. It opens with a red raspberry and strawberry bouquet with a hint of blueberries. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty strawberry with notes of red raspberry and a dash of black pepper on the back palate. The finish is dry and its fine tannins are nicely prolonged. This is a delicate Pinot that is quite food friendly. The panel suggested pairing it with fresh Norwegian salmon on a baguette or coq au vin. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2005 Pinot Noir reminds me a bit of the first pinot I made in 2002. It is a more elegant Pinot than the 2004, with softer tannins, nice red Carneros fruit and a very French Burgundy style finish. It should go beautifully with classic pinot friendly dishes like salmon or duck confit. Released on its third birthday, it is drinking well and does not need further aging to be enjoyed - Bill
