Wine Review: This dark red blend from Washington state is a good value wine. It open with a fragrant red raspberry and cran-apple like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, a tad acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a mineral infused plum with notes of cranberry. I also detected hints of gentle minerality and a touch of green olive. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger for a while. I would pair this wine with a blue cheese burger. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2014 River's Red is about as good as it gets when you are provided with an incredible growing season and harvest! A balanced blend among the varietals, this wine is swarming with notes of blackberry, cherry and baking spice on the nose. The palate is filled with flavors of chocolate and ripe cherry. This red blend has a nice layered mid-palate and a rich long finish making it perfect to enjoy with friends and just about any kind of food you can think of!
