Wine Review: I have always been a fan of kitchen sink red blends made with every kind of grape they can think of; thrown in. This dark ruby colored version from Three Rivers opens with a mild black cherry and craisin bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a black currant and oak blend with a hint of strawberry rhubarb. The finish is dry and its mild tannins linger slightly. This would be a very nice match with barbecue chicken. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our River's Red blend originates at some of Washington States most poetically named vineyard sites. The nose absolutely delights with unmistakable notes of dark coffee, cedar box, oriental spices and cherries. On the mouth, ample nuances of vanilla bean, ripe blueberries and cherries are generous and lingering. The finish completes this approachable, yet full-bodied red. Wonderful with a wide array of rich dishes, though velvety and silken enough on its own to be a sipping wine.
