Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored Petit Verdot with a mild blue raspberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very smooth and balanced. The flavor profile is a tasty mild blueberry and gentle black cherry blend. I also detected a hint of minerality, herbs, and mild old oak. The finish is rather dry and its moderate dusty tannins are nicely prolonged. This wine would be perfect with a thick and juicy dry aged ribeye. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2009 Columbia Valley is impenetrably dark with powerful blackberry, blueberry, and black cherry aromatics. It is thick and commanding with ripe fruit, minerals, a hint of cured meat, lush tannins and a long, strong finish. Enjoy our Petit Verdot with aged cheeses, pizza margherita, chicken tarragon, filet mignon with peppers or ravioli.
