Wine Review: This very very dark ruby colored Zinfandel opens with a brambly black raspberry like bouquet with notes of boysenberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, pleasantly acidic and juicy. The flavors profile is similar to the nose. A ripe black raspberry and boysenberry blend with notes of red currant. I also detected hints of fig and coconut towards the end. The finish is dry and its fruity flavors linger for quite a while. If you enjoy a ripe and fruity style of Zin, then this entry level offering from Three is for you. Pair it with pan-seared lamb lollipops (chops) with rosemary, garlic and Dijon. Enjoy - Ken
