Wine Review: This dark red colored offering from Three is varietally correct! It opens with a fragrant brambly red raspberry and boysenberry bouquet with hints of red cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, juicy and smooth. The flavor profile is a red raspberry and red plum blend with notes of cinnamon and five spice and a touch of cola. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors and mild tannins are pleasantly prolonged. The Panel suggested pairing this Zin with a mahi-mahi sandwich. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The wine is dark black and blue color to the edge, with boysenberry, violets, supple tannins, and perfect acidity. The wine shows staggering ancient vine concentration with a briary density, and silken chewiness with a velour-like texture. Decant and enjoy the versatile 2016 Bigelow Zinfandel with beef bourguignon, or fig and goat cheese flatbread.
