Wine Review: This white gold colored Symphony wine from Theopolis is very good. It opens with a floral bouquet with notes of candle wax and hints of pineapple, honeysuckle and apricot pit. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, round and juicy. The flavor profile is a mineral influenced white peach with notes of almond paste and tart yellow grapefruit. I also detected hints of Honeydew melon and lime. The finish is dry, refreshing and extended. This wine would pair well with lots of Asian cuisine. I would try it with Thai rolls, cashew chicken. or ginger-soy glazed mahi mahi. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Symphony grape is a California crossing of Muscat of Alexandria and Grenache Gris developed in 1948. The 2017 is white diamond colored and opens with tropical floral aromas. It displays flavors of peaches and mango and has a pleasant balance of acidity. Overall it is a refreshing wine, with a crisp and clean finish. It is well suited to pair with seafood, spicy food, and Southeast Asian food.
