Wine Review: This very pale straw-colored Pinot Grigio from the Simple Grape opens with a shy citrus, pineapple, and melon bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with mouthwatering acidity. The mouthfeel is round and crisp. The flavor profile is fruity blend of lemon, pear, and light pink grapefruit with notes of green apple, black pepper, and herbs. The finish is dry, lingers for a bit before fading away nicely. This is a very good summer sipper that should be served slightly chilled. I would recommend serving this food friendly Pinot Grigio with a Caesar salad or with prosciutto wrapped cantaloupe. - Joe
