Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon is quite hedonistic. It opens with a black cherry and chocolate bouquet with hints of black currant, olive and flint. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well-balanced, round and seductive. The flavor profile is mild graphite infused stewed black plum, black tea, boysenberry and oak blend with notes of black cherry. The finish is dry and its bold tannins build-up and last for a very very long time. I would decant this impressive big-boy Cab and then serve it with a New York strip steak smothered with a mushroom wine sauce. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Color: Deep, dark raven black with touches of crimson red and candy red on the rim.
On the Nose: Explosion of minerality, warm stone, thyme and oregano with milk chocolate, cedar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
On the Palate: Big round entrance evolving fast on a mineral mid-palate with granular tannins and touches of milk chocolate, graphite and black fruit, lingering on a silky finish with juicy fruit like cherry, plum and touches of potpourri.
