Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon is a real quaffer and will be loved by fans of lighter styled wines like Pinot. It opens with a black cherry bouquet with hints of new leather, earth and strawberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, not overly complex but very easy to enjoy. The flavor profile is a very tasty cedar plank infused subtle black cherry with notes of strawberry licorice and a hint of plum. The finish is dry and its mild and well managed tannins drift away nicely. The panel felt this food friendly Cab would pair well with a filet mignon. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon presents blackberry and plum aromatics typical of the Alexander Valley, along with accents of coffee and toasted nuts. Elegant tannins and balanced acidity provide structure for the rich fruit on the palate, which lingers on the finish.
