Wine Review: This light straw-colored Chardonnay from Napa Valley opens with a coconut crème pie and lemon verbena bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, balanced, and bright. The flavor profile is a coconut cream pie and toasted oak blend with notes of stony minerality, vanilla, and Anjou pear. The finish is dry, and its acidity and flavors linger nicely. This Chard is food friendly and it would pair well with Coquilles St. Jacques. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2019 Tether Napa Valley Chardonnay emerges from the glass with impressive aromas of ripe honeydew melon, white peach, green mango, and lychee. Gorgeous layers of lemongrass, Kaffir lime leaves, mandarin peel, jasmine, and blanched almonds add tremendous depth to the nose. The creamy mouthfeel reveals a rich texture yet remains completely balanced by vibrant acidity and freshness on the palate. The lengthy finish showcases integrated elegant toasty French oak.
